Why do we do this ride??

We  had completed the  Patriots Ride  a few hours ago and a friend asked me
why I did it.  I was a bit taken aback, wondering why someone would ask such
a question.  Wondering did people think this was for self gratification or what??

But after numerous thoughts as to the motive of the question
I felt they merely wanted to know why we did this.

It seems so obvious why, that I wonder how someone could ask such a question.
But I will try.
We do this to honor all the victims and heroes of 9/11, and all our
friends who defend our right and place to be since that time.

In our way we should wave our flags and let the community know we
are 100% behind our Fire, Police Departments and all our Military Services
who defend our rights to freedom.

And therefore our ride helps to heal us and those who see us waving
our national colors as we ride in memoriam to our honorees.

And....  it is the right thing to do.

Thank all of you for joining me.      Joe Pelley
